Semi insomniac and multi instrumentalist James Mcq grew up restless writing a dismantled catalogue of folk rock songs on the East Coast of Victoria. Through his early teens James began playing and writing with numerous surf/psych bands, headlining rural pub venues and selling out small house concerts.

James hastily expanded out of the local scene inexorably abandoning the coast for the city to establish his solo career. Going back to his roots and picking up his acoustic guitar, James’ focus on storytelling though dark ballads has already seen him play some of the most significant festivals in WA such as The Nannup Folk festival, as well as opening up for artists such as King of the North on their sold out tour. He plans to release his debut EP in late 2018.
