STEVE SMYTH
ADDS 35+ DATES TO EXITS ALBUM TOUR
+ TO PLAY BYRON BAY BLUESFEST & FLOW BAR

STEVE SMYTH will be kicking off 2015 by jumping back in his Tarago and hitting the road to play a hearty 35+ stack of new EXITS ALBUM TOUR dates in support of his stunning Ivy League Records debut album, EXITS. He'll be swinging by Flow Bar on Friday 30 January, 6:30pm

After being involved in an incident in October which left him with a broken jaw, and having to reschedule several dates on the first leg of his Exits Album Tour, singer/songwriter Steve Smyth is now fully recovered and in excellent form. Recovered so well in fact, that he’s picked back up on the rescheduled dates and announcing this second run for early 2015!

After selling out Exits Album Tour shows in Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane, receiving the Feature Album slot at Double J, Album Of The Weeks from ABC Darwin and Newcastle, and singles ‘Shake It’ and ‘Written Or Spoken’ being well received at community radio and Double J, Steve and band will pick back up touring Exits by covering major cities and regional towns across this fine land starting with a huge New Years Day event at Sydney’s Vic On The Park. This announce also sees Steve added to the mammoth Byron Bay Bluesfest line-up where he’ll play the 3 day event in April with the likes of Lenny Karvitz and The Black Key’s whose bass player, Gus Seyffert, produced Exits with Beck and Thom York’s drummer, Joey Waronker, in LA.

From the streets of Barcelona to touring alongside the likes of The Killers, Angus and Julia Stone, Lanie Lane and Kim Churchill, Smyth has proven time and time again to be devastating in the live setting. A voice churned up in Bourbon soaked Louisiana gravel that soars to the heavens at times with its sweetness…after experiencing Steve Smyth, it’s tempting to compare him with some of the great vocalists of the past few decades.
