Josh Needs is a young singer, songwriter and virtuoso guitarist with a musical brilliance far beyond his years, bringing his high energy stage presence to such festivals as Australia’s Woodford, Blues On Broadbeach, Airlie Beach Music Festival, Tamworth and an appearance at the legendary Sydney Opera House.

As well as touring and sharing stages with the likes of Diesel, Russell Morris, Jon Stevens, Tommy & Phil Emmanuel, Kevin Borich, Joe Camilleri and The Bushwhackers – all of this while writing, producing and independently releasing two albums, self titled ‘Joshua Needs’ (2012) and ‘Journeys Road’ (2015).

The winner of the Tamworth Country Music Festival Busking competition (2013) graduated from the prestigious Academy of Country Music in Tamworth 2015. The Academy is a rare opportunity for singers, performers and songwriters to work with leading musicians and artists who'll help develop their skills. Additionally, Josh was one of 23 selected out of the entire population of music students in New South Wales who completed the HSC Music course in 2014 to perform at the prestigious Sydney Opera House. This was an incredible honour and will be an experience he’ll never forget.

Josh is regarded as a leading light in his style of music, with a reputation for making festivals buzz, holding crowds in his calloused guitar shredded hands, dropping jaws and stunning audiences wherever he goes. Josh Needs has recently relocated to Sydney where he continues his exciting career as touring and recording artist. Josh has a unique discipline, unfaltering focus and determination and these coupled with his extreme passion and love of music will ensure his musical career is extraordinary.
