Cameron James Henderson plays bluesy-folk music that hits your head and your heart. His dynamic tunes have deep respect for the old, yet his lyrics and arrangements are fresh and raw. His guitar sound has the cut of Mike Bloomfield, the variety of Ry Cooder and subtlety of Mark Knopfler. His band’s sound has raucous elements of Highway 61 era Dylan mixed with the grooves of JJ Cale.

Cameron refined his sound playing sideman in various bands for years as well as studying classical guitar and doing composing and session work in professional orchestras, theatre and television.

He formed the ‘Dubious Blues Trio’ in 2012 a trio playing instrumental improvised music that ranged from blues to jazz to surf music.  They recorded their debut EP with renowned hammond organist Clayton Doley in 2012. The trio then released their debut self titled album in 2014 which received considerable radio play including Triple J, Eastside Radio FM and Fine Music 106.5.

In late 2014 Cameron recorded his debut solo EP ‘Distorted Hope Blues’. This EP has received widespread airplay across the country and the track ‘Love Is Gone (Australia Blues)’ was included on 'Tony Cini’s Blues Explosion Volume 6’ a compilation of Australian blues and roots music.

Cameron is currently working on an album produced by well known Australian folk artist Chris Gillespie.
