The June 2015 release of James Thomson’s second album Cold Moon has confirmed the appearance of a striking new talent in the Australian music scene.

The Newcastle based songwriter has just released what The Music is calling “one of the finest local Americana albums of recent years.”

Similar critical praise for Cold Moon has followed in numerous reviews, as well as
major interest and airplay from the likes of Triple J, Double J, Radio National as well as chief Sydney independent stations 2SER and FBI Radio.

Audiences and reviewers rightly single out the influence of Neil Young, Townes Van Zandt and Bob Dylan on James’ music, but his part traditionalist, part renegade approach see’s these influences fit naturally alongside diverse and less obvious ones.

James will be preforming with special guest De'May, De'May is an enchanting folk songstress from the dreamy coastal town of Newcastle.
